The beauty of studying at THASA

Situated in the university town of Potchefstroom, Norht West, THASA offers a safe and homely learning environment for aspiring hairdressers. Located on the grounds of the Technical High School, THASA is close to shopping centres and other recreational facilities; students at THASA can experience student life combined with excellent training.

Agreements with various accommodation providers allow candidates to choose affordable, safe accommodation within walking distance — more information regarding accommodation is available on request.

Take our online survey to determine if hairdressing is the right profession for you. This survey has approximately 10 questions and takes less than a few minutes to complete.

Our courses

A program styled for you

THASA provides national and international qualifications.

Students of THASA are awarded the City & Guilds International Hairdressing Diploma after completing all theory and practical assessments.

This course is the first choice for candidates wanting to work on cruise ships and abroad. The National Trade test may be entered through a Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) application process. THASA will gladly assist candidates with this process.

The Hair Academy of South Africa offers spacious air-conditioned facilities. Our hair salon is equipped with hairdressing tools and teaching techniques that allow for real hands-on practical experience to maximise job placement opportunities in hairdressing.

The classroom is equipped with overhead projection, available for theoretical tuition, streamlining the learning experience.
